Gems 3-3 Wembledines
Wembledines began the game with just 7 players and this allowed gems to race into a 3 goal lead. A first half hat trick from Josh Howe for the students. Wembledines delayed bodies were eventually added and they pulled 2 back. First from a corner where Phil Blackwell headed home and just before half time niall danaher added one. Just after half time Paul Hennessy equalised. Both teams went looking for a winner but neither could find one and a draw was the fair result
Brazuca 1-4 Cutters
Brazuca took an early lead through the lively Mattheus. The lead didn’t last long as cutters were level not even a minute later through Oisin Reid with a fine header to get the Clare lads going on the night. Seanie Gully on debut put Cutters 2-1 up just before half time. The second half allowed cutters to really push on and goals from Dylan McMahon and another from from seanie gully gave cutters a comfortable 4-1 win
Team Lightning 5-1 Sheffield Thursday
First Half
Sheffield Thursday, another team who had to start the game with only 7 players.
Team Lightning eased into a 3–0 lead with goals from Scanlon (2) and Mads (1). Just before half time Scanlon got a 3rd. First half hat trick.
Second Half
Sheffield added to their ranks as 3 more players joined in. Within 5 mins they pulled a consolation goal back, Joe Mullins the scorer.
Final goal of the game came from a Wobbler trademark header from a corner.
Polonia Limerick 4-2 Sporting Viking
H.T. 2–1
Polonia raced into a 2–0 lead in the first 10 mins. First Gonzalo and then Evan. Sporting pulled one back from the kick-off – and what a goal from Aaron Grant. Spotting the keeper off his line he scored from the half way.
Second half Polonia scored a 3rd (Duka). Sporting pulled a goal back from the penalty spot (Grant again). The goalscorer of a second goal from Evan, Polonia then saw the game out for a comfortable win.
