Cutters kept up their winning ways with a win in a feisty encounter with Wembledines. Dines took the lead but a strong second half performance from Cutters saw them earn a 4-1 win - the first goal conceded by Cutters in the post-season. Cutters kept the pressure on Dines in the second half with their energetic and high press proving difficult to deal with. A goal in the 41st minute saw a lovely shot from the right edge of the box find the top right corner. As Dines became stretched, Cutters found a 4th well taken goal in the dying minutes.
A single goal from the penalty spot (video below) was all BD had to show for their clash with Bluestreak. Bluestreak never looked back from a 2-1 half time lead as they added 3 in the second half. Credit must be given to the BD keeper. An exquisite scrambling diving save as Bluestreak looked to capitalise on an overload was the goalie's highlight of the night.
After two high scoring 7pm games, the rain worsened on the Cappavilla pitches for the 8pm games and the goals dried up. On the far pitch, Alfies and Deporitvo played out a 1-1 draw - remarkably Alfies third straight draw. Team Lightning left it late to snatch a 1-0 win with a 55th minute Philly Maher winner. A classic Lightning back to front move saw goalkeeper Mark Carey hit Maher who scored with a Henry-eque finesse finish.
